Please read our Privacy Policy carefully to know what information we collect, for what purposes we use it and how you can change, export or delete it.

  1. Collection of information

The main policy of our company is to collect as little information about users as possible and to ensure a completely confidential and anonymous user experience when using the Service. We also do not have the technical means to access your encrypted message content.

  1. Collecting user data

10.1. Visits to our website: We use Google Analytics, a free-to-use analytical tool provided by Google to generate detailed statistics on website visitors. Analytical data is stored in Google cloud storage.

10.2. Account Creation: There is no need to provide personal information to create an account, but you can provide an external email address for notifications or password recovery. If you choose to provide it, we will link your account with a different email address (for password recovery or notifications). The legal basis for processing is the registration of a personal account with Manulmail.

10.3. Account Actions: Due to limitations of the SMTP protocol, we have access to the following email metadata: sender and recipient email addresses, IP address from which incoming messages were sent, message subject, and message sent and received times. We DO NOT have access to encrypted message content, but unencrypted messages sent from external providers to Manulmail are scanned for spam and viruses in order to pursue a legitimate interest in protecting our users. We also have access to the following account activity records: the number of messages sent, the amount of disk space used, the total number of messages, the time of the last login.

10.4. Manulmail Communication: Your communications with the Company, such as support requests, bug reports, or feature requests, may be retained by our employees. The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest in better troubleshooting and improving the quality of the Manulmail service.

  1. Data usage

11.1. There are no advertisements on our site. Any data we have will never be shared, except in the circumstances described below in the data disclosure section (clause 15). We DO NOT perform any analysis of the limited data we hold, with two exceptions: раскрытия данных (п.15). Мы НЕ проводим никакого анализа ограниченных данных, которыми мы располагаем, за двумя исключениями:

11.2. Emails sent unencrypted to Manulmail accounts (e.g. from Gmail to Manulmail) are automatically scanned according to legitimate interest in spam detection, so we can block IP addresses that send a lot of spam to Manulmail users and post spam messages to the spam directory. Incoming messages are checked for spam in memory, then encrypted and written to disk. We have no technical ability to scan messages after they have been encrypted.

11.3. Emails sent by Manulmail users to external users (such as Gmail) with encryption turned off are automatically scanned for legitimate spam detection interest in the same way as incoming email. This is in order for the Manulmail account used to send spam to be detected and blocked so as not to impair the delivery of email to legitimate users.

15.1. We will only disclose user data we hold if we are instructed to do so in the form of a mandatory request from a competent government authority (legal obligation). The disclosed data can be used in court only after we receive the original copy of the court order by registered mail or in person and provide an official response.

If permitted by law, Manulmail will always contact the user before disclosing the data. According to the law, notification of the addressee of a data request is mandatory, although such notification may come from the authorities and not from the Company.

15.3. Manulmail may dispute requests from time to time if there is a public interest in doing so. In such situations, the Company will not comply with the request until all legal or other remedies have been exhausted. As such, not all of the requests described in our transparency report result in data disclosure.
